It's that time of the year again, the time for both Thanks, and Giving. If you are Thankful for the animals in your life, then you will want to Give to this very deserving charity event!

This holiday season comedian John Minus, Exit Eleven Productions, and BlissradioNYC.com have teamed with the Empty Cages Collective of NYC to bring you a benefit show unlike any other. The Empty Cages Full Hearts benefit show will raise funds for the non-profit Empty Cages Collective.

ECC is an animal and environmental advocacy organization. Another of ECC's missions is to rescue and rehabilitate neglected/abused/abandoned animals. Even with a meager bank account they continue to help animals. When you see pictures of animals that have been rescued from neglect or abuse throughout the city, this is thanks to ECC. ECC has rescued a wide variety of animals as well, such as a poor possum with a tumor which was picked up by Animal Control and was destined to be killed. After her tumor is removed, she will be released in a sanctuary. Then there was the case were four terrified dogs who were dumped by their owner at Animal Control in a small crate, They would have undoubtedly been killed if not for ECC's intervention. These dogs are now looking for foster or permanent homes. Although very afraid, they are sweet dogs who deserve to find a good home. The night will start with a main show featuring a number of comedy acts, music, and burlesque performances. So far we have comedians such as Ken Krantz, Juliet Jeske, John Minus, Brandon Collins, Calvin Cato, Sarah Hartshorne, Ashley Brooke Roberts, Killy the Kid, and Koretta Gray. That's just the tip of the iceberg as we have Brooklyn Babydoll coming to do burlesque, and music from Teresa Hui! The show will also feature Celebrity host DJ JOVE as the MC, and will be covered and live broadcast by the internet radio station Bliss Radio (www.blissradionyc.com).

And there are more performers yet to be announced! The show will start at 7pm sharp with a $20 cover, and then the afterparty starts, which will have a $15 cover. Guests only pay once. If you can't make the show then make sure to catch the afterparty. Tickets can be purchased here: get them soon because this will sell out!
